When a BASEBALL player played CRICKET. Opening batsman Imran Nazir hit five sixes against New Zealand in Semi Final of 2007 ICC World T20. He made a brilliant fifty in that inning and confirmed the victory of green shirts and they qualified for the final. It was the first ICC World T20 played in South Africa and Pakistan cricket team became the first side to qualify for the final match.

Star batsman Imran Nazir played a brilliant knock and attacked the bowlers from very first ball of the inning. He knew the ability of New Zealand bowlers of coming back in the match. Therefore he kept putting pressure on the bowlers and hit boundary or maximum in very over. In his knock he hit five massive sixes to bowlers quite easily.

Opening batsman got the license from team management to go all out against New Zealand bowlers and he played his natural strokes all over the ground. He timed the ball quite well in his inning and did not played a rash shot. The medium pacers and spinners were the main targets for opener to make runs quickly on good batting track.

In semi final, the opening partnership was very crucial for green shirts to qualify for the final of ICC World T20 2007 otherwise they could collapsed. The pressure of big match did not affect on the batting style of Imran Nazir and he continued to play his natural shots against almost every bowler of New Zealand.

Although the target was not huge for green shirts but still its very important for both openers to score runs. The team management gave free hand to Imran Nazir to play his natural game in the semi final and he fulfilled his task in quite good manner. Five massive sixes and several boundaries were the feature of his brilliant inning in the knock out match.
