Shahrukh Khan, the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders franchise hired King of Swing as coach and for many years he had been affiliated with the team. In every IPL edition, the left arm bowler trained the bowlers with great passion with professional attitude. Every team member gave due respect to him as coach and great bowler of his era as well.

So in order to train the bowlers along with batsmen for IPL, Wasim Akram decided to conduct a practice match between Kolkata Knight Riders and local team of the region. The T20 match was played under lights and left arm fast bowler decided to open with ball. His classic out swinger and in swinger troubled the batsmen of opponent team and he really enjoyed his bowling after interval of 8 years.

Wicket on second ball of very first over proved his intelligence, talent and class even in modern era of cricket. Therefore Wasim Akram enjoyed the wicket even his pace reduced a lot. With with such pace he managed to swing and seam the ball from the pitch without any problem and played the whole match with great passion.
